Spring Couture Week 2015 Recap

2

Couture Week is one of our favorite events of the year because we get to see some of our favorite designers pull out all of the stops to make truly extravagant pieces. Here are a few of our favorites from the past week!KIM_1287The tunic-like jackets and skirts at Chanel were awash with color.

KIM_0081Elie Saab’s beautiful dresses were taken right out of a fairytale. The colors were soft and washed out, but the drama was in the floral beaded appliques.

KIM_0481The pieces at Armani Prive were inspired by bamboo, and had a very Asian-influenced vibe.

The looks at Atelier Versace were daring and decidedly feminine, with floor length gowns in bold colors and spiraling cutouts.

Upgrade Your Plain White Tee

8

The classic white tee is well, a classic! But how many classic white tees can you own before you become a little bored of this basic staple? Here are three simple additions to jazz up any plain white t-shirt, perfect for those bulk sets of tees that come in three-packs! T-shirt with Lace

Want to make a flirty tank top or beach cover up? Cut off the sleeves and down the seams of your t-shirt. Sew the lace to each end of the open gap on both sides.  If you’re looking for a more modest option, just leave the seams as they are, and sew the lace directly onto the sides of the tee!

T-shirt with Jacquard

To add a little bohemian flair to any plain tee, all you need is some gorgeous floral ribbon! Just line the top band of the pocket and the bottom band of the tee with one of our embroidered jacquards. Try our 18mm Imported Floral Jacquard, 13mm Jacquard with Picot Edge or 35mm Imported Floral Jacquard!

T-shirt with Sew-OnsPump up the glam factor by adding some sparkle to your sleeves! Sew clusters of assorted sew-ons to just the sleeves or the pocket of the tee for some understated edge!

Now that boring white tee is anything but! How will you be wearing your white tee?

New Shopping Category

M&J Trimming is proud to announce that we now have three new categories, Sew-on, Sequins and MoreHere at M&J Trimming we strive to make a memorable shopping experience for all customers.  Therefore, we have created these new categories in order to make your search easier for when you’re in need for these specific garment embellishments.

Within the “Sew-on” category, you’ll notice that we have recently added new items.  We have also separated the sew-on jewels into multiple subcategories.  Whether you’re in need of glass sew-on or shell sew-on, you’ll be sure to easy find what you are searching for.

Our other category is “Sequins”.  For years, sequins have been quite popular on various garments.  However, its’ popularity and demands have grown tremendously within the past couple of years.  For this reason, M&J Trimming had decided that sequins deserved its’ very own category.  You’ll be able to find items such as basic sequin trims to loose sequins and sequin-decorated appliqués.

Last, but not least, we have the “More” category.  The title of the category may seem a bit odd and the decision did not come easily.  After months of deliberation, we decided that this category would have items such as flower pins, chains, boas and more.  Within this category you’ll be able to find unique embellishments and accessories.

We hope that the new category will assist in making your search easier when you’re looking for these items.  We’ll keep you updated with more changes coming soon.
