Rhinestones are often used to accentuate one’s natural beauty. Each crystal glistens and gleams giving off a vivacious thrill. This dramatic effect is something photographers are often looking for in their subjects. One rhinestone necklace may change the entire attitude of a shot. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite rhinestone-enhanced editorial prints that evoke beauty, power and sophistication. Check out M&J for our large selection of Swarovski crystals and rhinestone trims.
This Earth Day we’ve opted to recycle something…our DIYs. The M&J blog has been around since 2008 and we’ve been donning out useful information, tips and tricks since then. For those of you who have just started following us enjoy these DIYs for the first time. For those who have been reading along since the beginning look at how far we’ve come. We’d love to see some of your very own upcycled fashions. We felt it was only appropriate to highlight some of our favorite refashioned DIY’s of the past.
M&J has an extensive home decor section. We pride ourselves on our selection of rhinestones, fringe, ribbon, cords, cordedge, and tassels. Each of our trims can transform your home from winter to spring. We understand that every detail is keen when adding an element of style and sophistication. Here are five of our top interior decor projects for spring!

This D.I.Y was inspired by the one and only Beyonce Knowles. Although we can’t steal Jay Z we can steal this look! Warning: Completing this D.I.Y will bring out the inner diva in you, guaranteed! Check out all our emerald trims and embellishments at M&J Trimming in order to recreate this look.
Once the sequin trim is wrapped around, cut it on a slight angle
Repeat these steps for the remainder of the sequined cap.
TIP: If you are having difficulty wrapping the sequin trim, you can wrap both sides individually.
BONUS TIP: For the last piece you may want to cut your trim into two pieces. This will allow you to focus on one side at a time.
Wait for the hat to dry prior to wearing.
Take a photo #MJTrim and show off your glamorous new look
Love the look? We love hearing your feedback!
Emerald has been ruling the runways therefore it is only necessary to incorporate the “it color” into our lifestyles. Many bloggers have been creating emerald infused pieces and we’ve rounded up 5 that we particularly love. The following D.I.Y’s will make everyone around you green with envy.
Click on the images for the tutorials on each piece.
A big thanks to VJuliet, Bliss-athome, Glitter_N_Glue, HonestlyWTF and Kittenhood for the inspiration.
Lace Belt D.I.Y
With Paris Fashion Week rounding up, we are beyond obsessed with anything and everything black and white. The major trend highlighted at every show inspired us to create this lace belt. This Chanel inspired D.I.Y will spruce up a plain white tee or a fab gown ready to be taken out on the town. Check out our selection of elegant lace and beaded trims on our site.
Beacon Magna-Tas 809 Glue
1. Cut lace in half based on the floral design(One side will be larger than the other depending on which lace was selected)
2. Fold the thinner piece in half3. Glue both halves together creating a thicker piece (You can match the lace or mismatch for a more romantic touch…)
4. Pick up the leftover piece of lace and lay this piece under the now thicker band making sure it is centered.
5. Using your Beacon Magna-Tac 809, now glue down this piece for an additional layered look
6. Be creative! We glued on a bow, but feel free to add brooches, rhinestones, chains or studs! Make this lace belt your own canvas
7. Ta Da!
