DIY Inspiration: New York Fashion Week Beauty

2

There have been some amazing beauty looks spotted on the runways this season but two in particular caught our eyes.  The models in Kate Spade‘s presentation had simple yet cool manicures that could easily be replicated using our stud nailheads and a little nail glue! Kimberly Ovitz‘s models sported a really cool hairdo that we can’t help but want to DIY with some of our cord trims.  We can’t wait to try out these looks!

LUCA LUCA Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

1

By Blerona

We had the pleasure of attending the LUCA LUCA Spring/Summer Fashion Show this year and the collection was just as expected, Beautiful! The collection from last year was leaning more towards trendy chic, but this year it was all about the sexy causual look. With off-the-shoulder dresses, lightly embellished tops and tailored tops. One of my favorite looks that I fell in love with was the white halter dress with exposing cutout and sheer sequined sleeves. Take a look at some of the pieces from his collection below, what do you think?

Douglas Hannant Show was everything that I want in a show, beautiful coats, gowns, tailored skirts and beaded shirts. Everything was Glitz and Glam, a collection I would love to have in my closet for the museum parties and shows I dont attend :( .  Trims included fox fur, beaded trims, crystal belts attached bullion cords, leather skinny belts, and sequin. Overall it was an amazing show and held The Plaza which made it even better!!

Stephen Burrows show was something else, though I wasn’t obessed with fashion in the 90′s, one of the attendees next to us told us after the show that it reminded her for the 90′s fashion shows when models had attitude and were alive on the runway. Besides the captivating models, the collection itself was vibrant and beautiful, there was so much soul in each outfit.

LUCA LUCA Fall 2011

By Blerona

If you’ve read our previous post, then you know that we have decided to attend some shows this year for Fall Fashion Week and really get into the spirit of Fashion!! Our first show that we attend was the LUCA LUCA Show. Raul Melgoza collection was inspired by women traveling in the woods, what would a woman wear? The collection captured that theme exactly. And even if I didnt’ have a chance to travel in the woods, I would wear these pieces anywhere.  From the beautiful pencil skirts and brilliant colors, LUCA LUCA’s show was a breath-taking. Even in these photos I still get goose bumps.
