Green is the new black.
Emerald has been the focus of many editorial spreads. The color has been used in a vibrant way portraying varied emotions. Avant Garde photographer Miles Aldridge uses the color in an outlandish way while J.Crew embraces the warmth the color brings.

This August 2012 editorial in Elele Turkey is definitely sending our crafty minds into overdrive.  Not only do we want to recreate the lace dresses but we are, also, in love with all of the lace and sheer pillows, throws, and curtains.  These would make for some beautiful DIYs!

In the June 2012 issue of Elle Belgie, model Maja Krag channels a ladylike matador, showing off some incredibly detailed outfits. This “Mrs. Mariachi” editorial is making us go crazy with DIY ideas – we can’t get enough of all of those embellished accents and sequined trims. But that golden bull-head necklace is by far our favorite. And we’re lucky enough to have a steer head buckle in our store so we can replicate it. DIY project, anyone?

We’re really loving all of the metal embellishments in this “Rhinestone Cowgirl” editorial for Fashion Gone Rogue. That studded bustier is to die for – totally DIY-able too! And we can’t get enough of those crystal embellished jeans. Are you loving this editorial as much as we are?

How cool are these headpieces from the latest issue of Vision China? We’re especially loving the bejeweled cap – we would love to remake it with some sew-on jewels!

We’re obsessing over the floral headpieces from this editorial in the Spring/Summer issue of Tar Magazine. They would be such a fun summer accessory, and you could easily recreate them with a bunch of flower pins and some ribbon. New DIY project, anyone?

We’re loving the western trend that has been popping up lately – especially in this editorial from Vogue Turkey May 2012. The leather fringe and enormous belt buckles look so chic when they’re paired with edgy studs and sleek silhouettes. We’re definitely going to stock up on western trim and start DIYing!

Consider us obsessed with the May 2012 cover of Numero – that bejeweled lace dress is absolutely killing us. We’re tempted to gather all of our rhinestone buttons and DIY them onto a dress for a similar effect. Who’s with us?

DIY Inspiration

This editorial in the Spring/Summer issue of The Block Magazine has got us dreaming about future DIY projects. Everything from the lace veils to the embellished baseball hats is totally DIY-able. And we’re definitely going to recreate those lovely flower cuffs sometime!
