Embellishments are so hot for spring, and we couldn’t wait to take advantage of this fun trend! This DIY is modeled after the looks at the Burberry Spring/Summer 2014 show, classic shapes with sparkling accents.
What You’ll Need:
Lace Pencil Shirt (Forever 21)
9 Silver Sun Disc Beaded Appliqués #41991
Needle and Thread
1. Lay your skirt on a flat surface, and place the appliques in your desired pattern. You can cluster them, or spread them out. We mimicked the pattern of the Burberry Embellished Lace Pencil Skirt.
2. Sew the appliques into place. You can place a little glue down first for added hold.
This skirt is the perfect thing to wear to an engagement party, or a semi-formal spring event. And the price is just right! You get the Burberry look that’s easier on your budget.
Not only did the 2013 Met Gala bring art enthusiasts and fashion designers together, it brought our city together. Each year that the Met Gala takes place the city becomes a bit more vibrant. The punk theme truly brought nostalgia to the city and encouraged everyone to dress the part. We loved how each starlet had fun with their looks and we’re dying to DIY our own punk project.

These are some looks from the Pre-Fall 2009 collection. This was the first Pre-Fall for Doo.Ri, which were mostly dresses and used mainly black, white, gray and pale blues. Zac Posen’s collection was inspired by the forties, (his signature look). Narciso Rodriguez flows with references from Spring ’09 with a peek of Fall ’09; showing more of a classic look with cocktail dresses and classic two piece suits. From Burberry Prorsum I can only say that I simply love every single look.
