Medieval Times

Do you ever feel like you were born in the wrong era? Think you would have been better off among the dragons and knights? While we haven’t perfected a time machine just yet, here are some inspiring looks that will bring you back to a more medieval time.

Rodarte Spring 2013

Rodarte Spring 2013

Rodarte embraced the medieval style with their Spring 2013 collection. We loved the metallic accents and structured shoulders that ran throughout the collection. These powerful pieces allow the wearer to take on the role of fair maiden and shining knight simultaneously.

Franck Sorbier’s collection for Fall Winter 2014 was a beautiful take on medieval style. The rich colors, luxurious draping, and finely detailed fabrics used in this collection made it seems like the models walked right out of Renaissance-era painting!

┬áThe 2011 Valentino Haute Couture collection had a royal air to it. Intricate lace and gold detailing gave this collection a feeling of unsurpassed luxury. We love the stark white cape for winter, and the coin embellished dress looks awfully familiar to a t-shirt we’ve recently seen!

We love these medieval looks! If they’re a little too much for you to try on a daily basis, why not be a queen for Halloween? Check out our Medieval Renaissance Inspiration Page for some ideas!
